Lately, I've been reading a few other webmaster's blog entries that are focused around the topic of their significant online earnings. Well now it's my turn to write about something related to earning substantial dollar amounts so enjoy.
Yesterday's earnings for me was $600.00 (I got lucky...really lucky!) Think I'm joking? Good because down below I've also posted some visual proof of my earnings for yesterday. Before continuing, I can almost say that whatever thoughts you're having on how I grabbed yesterday's $600.00 are probably inaccurate at best.
Growing up in Las Vegas has been and still is an exciting place to live, especially for guys like me that have 0 kids and have never been married (I'm 31 going on 18). I guess creating web content while living in Vegas gives me the right to call myself a Las Vegas Webmaster. I like the sound of that.
Anyways, I was driving home from work just like any other day, brainstorming possible web content ideas (just like EVERY other day) when I decided to pull over and grab some gas. Before you read on you should know that every single gas station in Vegas has a bank of slot machines for their customers to play on.
Okay so I purchased $10 worth of gas giving the cashier a $20 bill. After receiving my change I decided to throw it into the keno machine real quick to see what happens. Playing $10 is like playing almost nothing at all...you don't even have enough time to sit down before your credits reach zero.
After playing for approximately three or four minutes with absolutely no luck at all I was down to like $3 in the machine. Playing 4-card keno has always been my game of choice when gambling so I wasn't surprised when I started losing. With only $2 in the machine I accepted the fact that I was almost out of gaming money and I stood up next to the machine ready to leave. I started thinking about fresh web content ideas and website design to cheer myself up. Website creation ideas always put a quick smile on my face when feeling down.
As my credits dwindled down I pulled out my cell phone to check the time as well as any missed phone calls when it happened. Eight out of my ten numbers that I'd picked came up! I was a winner. A very thankful winner.
8 of 10 on nickel keno pays $200 per card. Amazingly I was playing four cards with the same numbers on each one which totaled $800 dollars when combined. For any of you still reading this post that's 16,000 nickels. In case you're wondering, no they don't pay actual nickels anymore. Anytime a player cashes his winnings out, a receipt is generated and printed that can be cashed at the counter or slipped right back into any one of the machines to go again.
With a stack of twenties in my hand and an ear to ear smile on my face it was my turn to make someone else's night (see my ABOUT statement in sidebar). Without any hesitation I handed the store clerk $150 as a tip. Then I gave the guy sitting next to me a $20 bill and told him I wait for the day when a complete stranger comes up and hands me a $20 bill for the sole purpose of making my day. He would've probably said more than just a "thank you" but I think he was somewhat speechless.
Another player on the other side of me had already broken out his cellphone and snapped a picture of the screen when it was still showing all the winning numbers. A few minutes later he came up to me and said "I really want you to have a picture of your jackpot". Holding his camera phone in his hand, he reached out and placed the phone in my hand and said "Just take the whole phone because the image is saved on the phone. So now I was getting shocked versus doing the shocking. After reluctantly accepting the cellphone I pulled out another $20 bill and gave that to him. Winning in Las Vegas and tipping poorly will ensure that you never win again.

Nice pull on the 8 out of 10 AUSTIN!! I seriously miss those days and yes you are correct $10.00 isn't even enough money to sit down, but you know me I play quarters. As soon as i put in twenty it would be gone...100.00 might be enough to sit for like 5 minutes though...lol. Hit me up man Reply to this

Hell yeah...I was so estatic. That was a great video and for once we actually had someway to capture the moment. I wish we could both hit more $2,500 jackpots, or even get a whole row of keno machines to sing. Someday soon...hopefully Reply to this
