Making acreativedesktop.com the first result for the world's most creative website
One of the things I try to provide here at acreativedesktop.com are reviews and links to websites that I feel are some of the world's most creative websites. In this post I'll describe my intent to show up as the first result under Google for the term "world's most creative website. Here at this site there are a few pages that define creativity in a website. After reading this post, take some time to see if you can come across a few of them.
As of the time of this blog post, a search for the term "worlds most creative website" shows this creative webmaster blog as the fourth result on the first page. Notice that in this search term there's no apostrophe in the word "worlds". If I were to add the apostrophe, this blog doesn't show up on the first 5 pages for the term "world's most creative website".
So far there are a few similar search terms that this website places very high for. For example, the term "most creative website" has this blog listed in the 8th position on the first page of results and the main page of this site in the 5th position. Variations like "most creative web pages" have this site listed on the first page also. My most favorite search term which I'd love to come up as the first result for is "most creative website in the world".
Using HitTail to achieve first slot search engine results
In a nutshell, Hittail.com is one of the most creative websites that I have ever come across. You see, HitTail.com reveals in real-time the least utilized, most promising keywords hidden in the long tail of your natural search results. If I start to receive traffic from a good amount of certain keyword searches I will know because HitTail will tell me instantly.
Magically, HitTail stores keywords that are collected from your site. As time passes and more and more keywords are collected by HitTail which will be converted into tons of useful suggestions or keywords to focus on (write about).

About the future of this experiment for becoming the most creative website
I'm not sure what the future holds for the website acreativedesktop.com and it's quest to become the first result returned for a Google search of "world's most creative website". This experiment will provide myself with plenty of data about using HitTail.com for number one search result placement.
Being the number one result for the term "world's most creative website" or at least being affiliated with some of them as a provider or a finder of the world's most creative websites is a challenge I'm not ready to give up on easily. I will maintain a relentless focus on this experiment until I achieve the intended top position or until I feel that I've reached the point that further focus on this subject is futile.

I haven't done enough testing and tracking to say for sure whether or not blog posts like these have an influence on search engine rankings like the one described in this post. I would say no. It's a combination of many other things to get that first place slot.
The main reason for me creating this post is for HitTail.com because they are an awesome site for anyone that's in charge of running a web site. I'm a basic member so the least I could do for them is post reviews.
