*You can now listen to the text
on this page using the player below.

Lately, I've begun to search for more ways to make this website more usable for visually impaired visitors. It's no secret that the visually impaired web surfers use screen reading software to hear the text that's on web pages and since I've already optimized the main page of this site for people who use screen reading software I thought I'd mess around with something different.

Check out the main page of this site and you'll notice a player that will play some of the text that's on the page. Nothing really that special of course, but it's a start. Visitors can now listen to a description of the site while they browse around the main page. There's also an option to click on the "listen to text" link, which will play the the web site description in another window while you snoop around.

Gee, this cool if only I know how to work it. Maybe, my connection is not that good or maybe I'm missing some software. I'm off to the site now to have a look around.

      Thanks for the head-up.

Greetings and lotta loves from Malaysia.

Yes it is pretty cool. Basically all you have to do is click the play button on the slim line player that's located in this post and on the main page of this site.

The audio works with both Internet Explorer and Firefox and if you don't have a flash player installed you should be prompted to install one.

      Thanks for the feedback.
