Creative website will send a chill down your spine

This creative website is always on the lookout for super unique websites that provide a high quality experience and in this blog post I'm going to tell you about a unique website that is using fear to bring visitors back to their site.

It's called Hotel 626 and if you're the type of person who enjoys scary movies, this site is for you. There are many things that make Hotel 626 a truly creative website as you'll see for yourself in a minute but first there are a few things things this website is doing that make it stand out from the rest.

As you can see from the screen shot above, this website is no joke when it comes to scare tactics. You start off in a Hotel and you wake up using your mouse and your mouse buttons to control your character. There's only so far you can go when it comes to making a website scary enough to give someone goosebumps and Hotel 626 is about as good as it gets.

Before starting, the website asks if it can record your reactions using your web cam and microphone and then instructs you to turn off the lights and put on your headphones. For the best experience I recommend you do what they suggest.

You know you're doing something right when your site is only open 12 hrs. a day

My first visit to Hotel 626 was cut short because I was leaving for work but when I returned the next day I was shocked to see a 'Sorry we're closed' sign at the site. The message stated that the Hotel 626 was only open from 6pm - 6am and that it would reopen in a few hours. Most website owners would probably start cursing if someone ever suggested to shut down their site for 12 hours per day.

If you build websites and are looking for creative ideas to bring more visitors to your site you should definitely have a look at this site. Of course, it takes some capital to create a truly spectacular website like Hotel 626 which is why I wasn't surprised to find out that the people over Frito-Lay are behind the project.
