Pepperjam Network - a solid income stream to monetize your website

This post is for website owners or publishers looking for additional solid revenue streams to monetize their websites. There are many different ways to generate revenue from your website so specifically, I'd like to tell you about one these companies that I recently signed up. It's a next generation affiliate marketing network called Pepperjam. There's a number of great ways to use the Pepperjam network whether you're an advertiser or a publisher but in this post, I'll just be referring to publishers looking for a reliable ad network that offers contextual advertising.

Signing up with an ad network, choosing the ads to fit your content and getting the ball rolling takes time especially for website owners that are just getting started. On more than one occasion, I've found myself taking the time to sign up with a new revenue stream only to have them go under and in worst cases, not even receiving payment for generated income. In a nutshell, publishers create an account at Pepperjam, log-in, and then search for ads to display on their websites similar to the way Google's Adsense Referrals program works. After creating your account and adding your websites, you search for advertisers that match the content on your website. Publishers can choose to display banner ads, text ads or Pepperjam ads. You have many different ad sizes and colors to choose from, so finding an ad to really match the content of your site becomes more of a decision by you instead of just having to go with the closest option.

My experiences using the ads in the Pepperjam network have been excellent so far. I've even noticed that majority of the advertisers offer at anywhere from 20-50 different ad version for you to choose from versus the 3 or 4 that other ad networks tend to give you. Pepperjam seems to really focus on reliable communication between publishers and advertisers. The advertisers that I've chosen to display ads for have even gone as far as to give me their product for free ( SpoofCard.com ) just so I could better explain what I was advertising. Now that's teamwork!

There are millions of websites on the Internet today, in fact there's about 162 million of them. Some are great and some are not. This post is about a very creative website I found called Thoughts.

Thoughts.com is so much more than your average website because of the massive community of real people that make up the site. Members can create blogs and online journals, upload and share their photos, videos, and podcasts to the website. The interactivity of this site doesn't stop there, but because there's so much going on at Thoughts.com I'll focus on their very well maintained community forum. If you're looking for a really outstanding set of forums to become a member of, continue reading as I'll lay out a few of my observations about the site while highlighting what really caught my attention.

An online community of bloggers from around the globe

By description, Thoughts.com is simply an online community of bloggers from around the globe. For starters I should note that the website has been online since 1995 which places it in an elite category among online sites.

At the time of this writing I noticed that there were over 2000 guests and 50 forum members browsing and commenting inside the forum. If you think 2000 guests are something you'll be surprised to know that the Thoughts forum now has over 50K registered members. Those thousands of members have now created almost 100K posts in 6500 threads. The most users online at once was 12,390 people which tells me that anyone creating forum posts at Thoughts has the opportunity to reach quite a few people

Despite the size of the community, the forum is very neatly designed without being too overcrowded unlike other online communities of this size. What I was impressed about was the main categories of this forum. There are 42 different sub-forums that make up the 9 main forum categories that members can either post in or just sit back and read from.

The senior members of the forum are very dedicated when it comes to making Thoughts the best it can be. Spend a little bit of time reading their threads and you'll see that they're very interested in hearing any tips that members might have for making the online community even more of a positive experience. Attack birds seen tossing baby goats off cliff

The world today can produce some pretty scary things and what might be scary to one person might not have the same type of influence on someone else. This post is about that contrast.

Did you know that there is what I call an "attack bird' out there that grabs small goats and tosses them off steep cliffs to kill and eat them? As you'll see in the video, no one is more scared than the parents as they watch there offspring get muscled off the side of a cliff. Keep in mind that these birds that are known as the Golden Eagle live all around the globe and while it's not very likely, a small toddler weighs about the same as a young goat...and in this world, eventually everything becomes possible.

The Golden Eagle is known as a bird of prey and can grow quite large especially the females as they are always bigger than the males. The average wingspan is about 7 feet and the bird standing up averages about 3 feet, and that's just the average specs, not the biggest.

The Golden Eagle caught my attention because of it's diet. Many small animals fall victim when this attack bird is hungry.

But when they're really hungry they'll eat...

goats

The way these attack birds hunt is interesting. They have very powerful eyes which allow them to see prey from very far away. Their weapon of choice is usually their long sharp talons that have no problem cutting and tearing their prey apart. There are times when the Golden Eagle will use some type of tactics to hunt down their prey.

The male and female have even been known to work as a team by the male bird driving or luring their prey into the direction of the awaiting female, or as you'll see in the video below, tossing them off cliffs.

Check out the video below that shows these birds dragging goats off the side of a cliff. The video is 7 minutes long but if you don't feel like watching the whole thing the action starts at 0:31 and then again at 4:53. Although the clips look similar, they are two different clips because in the second one the Golden Eagle grabs the goat by the head back to the nest.

After watching the video you might see why I like to call the Golden Eagle an attack bird. That scene in the video that shows the goat being dragged by the head and through a canyon is spooky. When was the last time you saw a bird fly past you holding a goat by the head?

This website ( www.acreativedesktop.com ) received over 33K unique visitors in the month of April 2008. That's approximately 1200 visitors on average every single day for the whole month. Total visitors to this site reached over 44K for April.

High search result placement thanks to HitTail

This is a short post about www.acreativedesktop.com ranking well in Google for the phrase, "Information about the end of the world". Since this has been a notorious phrase on TV shows, books, and in newspapers and since I myself find it pretty interesting I decided to write this quick post here in the ACreativeDesktop site blog.

In the beginning it wasn't my intent to rank well for this phrase. I received a HitTail suggestion for a certain keyword phrase and created a page from that suggestion. I should also add that the time spent on this keyword phrase was very little. To this day I've only created 2 pages with information about the end of the world (animation).

Not only do I show up as the 4th result in Google for this keyword phrase, but I've been in that position for months now.

When I was doing some light surfing today I found this video that shows how to install an invisible power switch on your desktop PC. The modification is very simple to complete and the parts required are more than affordable as the video author explains.

This video is excellent quality and the author is quick and to the point and does a fantastic job of showing the viewer exactly how this invisible PC protection switch is installed.
